Liberation 64: 1978 Mego Farrah Fawcett

So I was recently in Orlando and finally got a chance to visit Davey’s Toys. My husband and I had a blast looking through his amazing stock, but one poor girl caught my eye- a vintage Mego Farrah Fawcett doll, still stuck in her box about 48 years later. Worse, she was wearing a white jumpsuit, and her box was bright green! So of course I had to buy her and set her free.

Since this is an unusual doll, I made a video of the unboxing process instead of my usual photoshoot. I hope you enjoy it!

It would be unfair for me to do my usual grading, given the severe age and box related damage, but I will give it an ‘A’ for its work reminding people that ‘Never Removed From Box’ should not be confused with ‘Mint’. I’d rather have a Mint doll out of the box any day! I did manage to get her hair partially tamed but it is awfully crispy so I was afraid to do much.
